What is the relationship between ETREC and ETU?
While ETREC was an initiative of the ETU it is a separate organization. ETREC has been established to meet the specific needs of smaller scale self employed contractors and focus on issues relevant to them as contractors rather than employees or employers.
ETREC and the ETU have negotiated a reciprocal arrangement which means:
- Paid up ETU members who fit ETREC’s membership criteria have optional access to a reciprocal ETREC associate membership at no cost to them.
- Paid up ETREC members have access to an optional ETU reciprocal benefits package which includes free ambulance cover, discount restaurants, electricity and more.....This reciprocal benefits package does not entitle the member to ETU membership or voting rights
